Joce: I like your approach to guns. Actually, I'm trying to imagine firing at an animal and... I can't. Makes me think I need to try it. I'd love to go to the outdoor firing range, that's for sure! However, I have to say I'm not a fan of handguns, especially here in Canada where they're used to a) kill people or b) (cheap) thrills at the firing range. They serve no other purpose north of the border. Rifles on the other hand is a totally different matter! Rifles serve an honest purpose. Killing animals, be that for fur or meat, and that's totally legal here. And if you felt a rush of adrenaline firing a handgun at a zombie silhouette, imagine firing a rifle at a deer or a moose! My father is a gun enthusiast. By that, I don't mean that he has a gun rack on his truck, next to a rebel flag sticker that says "Yankee by birth;Rebel by choice!" although I have to say that that is exactly what I envision when someone says "gun enthusiast." I guess that's due to all the years of living in the Southern United States. He did 2 tours of duty in Vietnam and I think he sees a lot of the world through those lenses. He is staunchly liberal politically, and yet is an NRA member. Lately, his presence at extended family gatherings seems to have coaxed out confessions of secret gun ownership from my liberal, vegetarian, recycling-seperating, seemingly pacifist cousins and uncles. It's funny to watch the discussion pick up momentum, with straggling men suddenly turning into little boys, sucked into the vortex of a conversation between kids with cooler toys than theirs. I'm not a fan, myself, but then I've never had any practical experience. Ant thought about owning one briefly and called his brother, a homicide Sargent in Florida who said," You have a teenager in the house; absolutely not." That was pretty much the end of that. I do have to say you conveyed the dizzying adrenaline rush in a very compelling way, though... Hmm…HIJACK ALERT!

And in all seriousness come with Joce/Myself/Bishop/BenC/Clove/etc when we go out to the range it's a totally different experience and is WAY more enjoyable.
